7th Year Anniversary - Onyx - 15 Designs
Anniversaries are traditionally celebrated with the giving of gifts relating to the year of the wedding or civil partnership. However, in more recent times and due to the increasingly availability of fine rare gemstones, it is more popular to give jewellery to the one you love.
In the seventh year of marriage it is customary to give the gift of Onyx. A well known member of the Chalcedony group of gems, which intern belong to the Cryptocrystalline family of Quartz, Onxy owes its distinctive black colour to an ancient dyeing processes. In its natural form, Onyx is available in a wide variety of colours and when these form differing bands it is referred to as Sardonyx.
